Today your “e-waste” can find a better grave site than the dump.
Electronic waste is being collected at the Prince Edward County Home Hardware between 10:00 and 3:00 today (SUN).
Spokesperson Ray Best says the initiative comes from the waste management group to which he belongs as a municipal councillor.
Best says electronic waste can cause toxins to leak into water flows if left to decompose at the dump.
Best says the county conducted a similar collection event for the first time last November.
Today’s collection will be accepting all television and computer waste free of charge at the Picton Home Hardware store on Loyalist Parkway.
