Kingston Police may release information today on whether the discovery of a man’s body could be related to a missing Belleville man.
Media Relations Officer Constable Mike Menor says he will speak to officers about the possibility the remains, discovered in a ravine near Highway 15 on Monday evening, are those of Calvin Vanness.
The 65-year-old man left Belleville in late March, 2008, driving to his brother’s house in Arden, but never arrived. His car was found six days later at a car pool lot at Highways 4-0-1 and 38. Police believe Vanness was murdered, but no suspects have ever been arrested.
