A Belleville man, in prison for molesting five young girls in Northern Ontario while he was an Anglican Priest, has been convicted of two more sexual offences.
Seventy-seven-year-old Kenneth Gibbs pleaded guilty in Timmins Provincial Court this week to two counts of indecent assault, and was sentenced to another two months in prison.
The offences, involving a girl who was five or six and another who was eleven or 12, occurred in Chapleau where he served as a church minister from 1966 to ’71.
Gibbs began a three-and-a-half-year prison sentence on December third after being found guilty in Sault Sainte Marie of eight counts of indecent assault involving five young female parishioners in the 1960s and ’70s at churches in Chapleau and Elliot Lake..
