There is lots of room to skate at the inner harbour at Victoria Park in Belleville.
Parks Manager Larry Glover says four small rinks and a larger one were cleared on the ice yesterday.
He expects another skating area on the Bay of Quinte at the end of South George Street will be ready tomorrow, and another at the cove in West Zwick’s Park by early next week.
Skaters were out at Victoria Park last week, but it wasn’t until this week the ice was ten inches thick, the safety standard set by the city.
