Members of Brighton’s YMCA have created a task force, hoping to get the organization into the black.
The three-person group will research the best methods to reduce the lost revenue and make recommendations to YMCA Northumberland.
Brighton’s YMCA had its most promising financial year in 2008, when the organization lost only eight-thousand dollars. Services within YMCA Northumberland have subsidized the Brighton branch with over 300-thousand since the local YMCA opened in the Brighton Health Services Centre in 2003.
