When it comes to winterry weather…..we’ve seen it all in Quinte over the past 24-hours. From heavy snow to freezing rain and ice pellets….and, now wicked winds are whipping the region. Environment Canada has continued a wind warning and has posted a snowsquall warning for Prince Edward County where wind gusts surpasssed 100km/h overnight and knocked out power to thousands of home. Hydro One crews are working on a number of outages….mostly in the Bloomfield area. Prince Edward County firefighters say several trees came down in the strong winds taking powerlines with them.
