The economy may be rebounding…..but, the hiring climate remains cloudy in Belleville. A Manpower report indicates only 7-percent of Belleville-area employers plan to hire in the upcoming quarter between January and March. Meanwhile, 13-percent are planning to cut staff. The remaining 80-percent plan to maintain current staffing levels.Cathy McAllister of Belleville’s Manpower office says the net employment outlook of minus-6 percent is a drop from the flat hiring climate during the first quarter last year.
