A Belleville woman has stopped a man trying to break into her house.
City Police say the resident of Brown Street, near Station Street, noticed a man damage her screen door and tamper with the lock on the inner door at ten o’clock last night.
The woman shouted, and the suspect fled.
Police are also investigating the theft of four-thousand dollars worth of tools from a shed at a Dundas Street East business, and a microwave oven, a t-v, 25 D-V-D’s, a purse and medication were taken in a breakin at a house on North Park Street.
