Northumberland-Quinte West M-P Rick Norlock is number one when it comes to printing costs.
An analysis by Sun Media found Norlock had almost 88-thousand dollars in expenses to send flyers to homes across his riding in 2008-09, the most of any federal member, and twice as much as he spent just two years earlier.
The spending figures were tabled in the House of Commons last week, showing the cost to taxpayers of all M-P’s printing soared to 10-million dollars in ’08-09, compared to five-point-nine-million in 2005.
All but 18 of the top 100 spending M-P’s last year were Conservatives.
