A Bayside woman, whose son died from injuries sustained in the Afghan War, will be honored twice this week along with the families of other fallen soldiers. Audrey Goodrich will recieve a special plaque from the Premier and Chief of Defence Staff today in Toronto and then attend a special reception with Prince Charles on Remembrance Day at CFB Petawawa. Goodrich lost her son, Master Cororal Roy David Goodrich, on September 1st last year from injuries sustained in the Afghan War and says this honour will makeup for the fact he didn’t make ther trip along the Highway of Heroes.
