A Kentucky Judge has ruled statements made to police by a former Bancroft doctor, including an alleged confession he intentionally ran over his wife with a pontoon boat , would be allowed as evidence at trial.
Steven Hall’s attorneys had asked the statements be supressed because they weren’t voluntary, since Hall had asked to leave the interviews with detectives before he was arrested and was in a state of shock.
Police testified in court yesterday Hall only said he needed to see his children, and never made a formal request to leave.
Hall, who practised as a family physician in Bancroft in the 1990’s, is charged with murder in the May 29th death of his wife, who was hit by the boat after being thrown off the vessel.
