A Marmora-area man has been charged with numerous offences after quite a ride northeast of Campbellford.
Northumberland O-P-P tried to stop an eastbound vehicle with no headlights on the 13th Line shortly after eight o’clock last night, but the driver refused to pull over, continued weaving all over the road and almost ended up in a ditch several times. He was finally arrested when he pulled into a driveway.
Fifty-four-year-old Clarence Ellis of Swinburne Road was charged with flight from police, impaired driving, dangerous driving, driving with more than the legal amount of alcohol in his blood, and other offences, and he was held for a bail hearing today.
