An impaired driver faces charges after an altercation with a City Police officer near Downtown Belleville. The officer spotted the vehicle in the downtown core, just after 2 o’clock this morning, and pulled the driver over. A brief scuffle ensued and the man was also charged with resisting arrest. A 32-year old man has a court date in December.
