A Bloomfield-area woman hopes the Ontario Court of Appeal will help get her dogs back.
Paula Deininger was in Toronto on Wednesday seeking leave to appeal two orders to remove all but three dogs from her Wilson Road property.
One was issued in July, just before six of nine dogs at the house were seized by animal control officers, and the other came one day before officials removed 16 more dogs on October 15th.
Deininger was to have found new homes for ducks, geese, chickens and rabbits from her property by yesterday (Thursday), but Prince Edward County’s Bylaw Enforcement Officer Garry Davis says that has been put on hold until a decision is made on the leave to appeal.
