It’s a milestone for the 2009 United Way of Quinte Campaign. Executive Director Julia Gosson says the fall fundraiser hit the half-million dollar mark over the weekend thanks to a 25-thousand dollar donation from the Kellogg’s factory in Belleville and a successful Saddle-Up event in Batawa yesterday. 50 local equestrians hit the trails at the Ski Hill hauling in another 35-hundred dollars. The next big event is the Quinte Warehouse Sale on November 5th at the Trenton Public Works Yard.
