Quinte West could be hiring. Council will look at adding up to seven workers to snowplow and sand, repair water and sewer lines and cut grass along the roadways in what would potentially save the municipality almost a million dollars. Council will consider a staff report at its meeting this evening that also recommends purchasing seven new tandem trucks. Those services are now contracted out to private sector companies.
