It’s decision day in Stirling-Rawdon Township. Council will choose tonight to either keep its current 10-member municipal service or switch to one of two options presented by the Ontario Provicial Police. The current local 10-member police service costs 370 dollars per household and needs a new police building. The OPP proposals include one for a stand alone detachment, needing a police station, costing 530 dollars per household, and one smaller reduced service with a satellite office integrated with Central Hastings OPP, costing 294 dollars per household.
