Belleville City Council is supporting an effort by local residents to rejuvenate the East Hill Park. The residents have banded together to form the East Hill Park Association, and presented Council with a 2 pronged revitalization plan. They plan to fundraise, and initially hope to install new playground equipment, and eventually “green” the park, and provide more facilities for adults. The Association estimates the total cost of it’s plans at around 300 thousand dollars. Belleville Council will consider some financial support for the East Hill Park project during budget discussions.
