A firearm has been seized from a man who barricaded himself in a home in Tweed..
Central Hastings O-P-P responded early last evening after the suspect, claiming he had weapons, holed himself up in a house on Moira Street.
Specialized police units and negotiators arrived, and Moira Street was closed to traffic.
The man, whose name wasn’t released, gave up his weapon at about midnight and was taken to Belleville hospital, and no one was hurt.
There is no information yet on whether charges will be laid.
