An arbitration hearing is set for late November involving Quinte Health Care and the union representing its Registered Nurses.
Ontario Nurses Association President Linda Haslam-Stroud told a press conference in Picton last night the collective agreement was ignored when 70 nurses’ positions were cut in the past year.
Haslam-Stroud says some of the Registered Nurses are working in other positions at Quinte Health Care, while others have left.
She says some of the 70 effected positions haven’t been filled by any staff, and none by R-N’s.
