The value of building activity in Stirling-Rawdon township has already topped last year’s numbers, with three months still to go.
Chief Building Official Ken Buxton says 137 permits for construction worth 5.1-million dollars have been approved so far this year, compared to 4.7-million in all of 2008.
All but one-million dollars has been in residential construction, mostly new homes and renovations.
