It’s money down the drain for the city of Belleville. City Council has approved writing off almost 81-thousand dollars of uncollectible water accounts, and 57-thousand of uncollectible sewer accounts. A staff report indicates the problem is small in the overall scheme of things, dropping 56-percent over a four year period. Meanwhile revenue juumped 22-percent…to a total of seventeen-and-a-half million for both utilities.
