A major facelift at the Trenton Hospital will result in better care for patients.
The Emergency Department has undergone 800-thousand dollars in renovations this year, and the improvements will also help staff.
Emergency Services Director Linda Price says the original E-R was built to handle 19-thousand people a year, but now sees 32-thousand.
There are now 34 seats in a waiting room twice the size, and there is also a double triage area where nurses asess patients for treatment. Money to pay for the work came from the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation and generous community donations.
