Two Picton-area paramedics received awards for bravery after fending off a knife wielding man and his snarling German Shepherd. Paramedics Joel Daniels and Jean Pierre Davis were attacked by a suicidal man armed with a large hunting knife and his German Shepherd during a recent call in the County. They managed to subdue the patient and get the dog out of the way. They received the McNally award for Bravery at the Provincial Association of Emergency Medical Services Gala in Ajax.
