It took a lot of Christmas trees and BBQ chicken…but the last cheque’s in the bank. Last night at City Council Belleville’s Kiwanis Club handed over the final payment, 14-thousand-894-dollars, for the Kiwanis Skateboard Park in West Riverside Park. Chair of fundraising, Laura Hare, says this wraps up the three year “Cant Wait to Skate ” campaign to raise 100-thousand toward the skateboard park. Mayor Neil Ellis replied that it wasn’t just about the money, but about an organization that helps to build a community.
