It’s good news-bad news for teachers in the Hastings-Prince Edward District School Board. A report submitted to the Board of Trustees indicates elementary school enrollment was 40-students less than the projected numbers….resulting in the elimination of 2.5 teaching positions. Meanwhile, high school numbers were slightly higher than projected…by 92 students…..that’s resulted in the hiring of an additional 6.5 teachers. There are 1,030 teachers working this year in the Hastings-Prince Edward Board.
