The two men accused of murdering a Picton woman north of Bancroft are in custody in Ontario.
Twenty-one-year-old Kevin Ruttan of no fixed address and 32-year-old Mark Chapman of Picton were brought back from Quebec last Thursday, and were formally charged in Belleville Court with first-degree murder.
They were arrested after a breakin in a community northeast of Quebec City last Monday, two days after the body of 26-year-old Steffany Gardiner was found on a beach at Papineau Lake.
The cause of death still hasn’t been released.
