A Colborne-area man, burned in a fire at his indoor marijuana grow operation, has been convicted of production of a narcotic.
Fifty-two-year-old Jeffrey Kremer was arrested by Northumberland O-P-P after 300 marijuana plants were found in a house damaged by fire on County Road 25, east of Castleton, on March third.
Kremer, who was making hash oil when the blaze began, was treated at Campbellford Memorial Hospital for burns to his legs.
He was sentenced in Cobourg Provincial Court to a 729-day conditional sentence, half of it to be served at home, and was issued a lifetime firearms prohibition.
