A rare charge of “Criminal Organization” has been laid after police busted a theft ring at a hardware store in Belleville’s north-end. Two people were charged, last night, after an ongoing theft investigation. The charges stem from a June arrest of a cashier at the business. Large ticket items were voided by the cashier while the suspects were at the checkout. A joint investigation by the respective store security and Police has resulted in at least four customers being identified. The value of the stolen items has been estimated to be $60,000.00. The investigation is continuing with more arrests to follow.
