It is the first rainfall in the Quinte area since early September.
An official at the C-F-B Trenton Weather Office says the precipitation that fell overnight broke a dry streak running back to September second.
Only four millimetres of rain has fallen at the base so far this month, compared to the average of 76 millimetres.
More showers are expected today and tomorrow.
