It’s edging closer to decision time for council on a proposed big-box retail complex in Brighton. Craft Developments appeared at last night’s council meeting to discuss changes to its plan which includes a Canadian Tire, possibly a Rona, Swizz Chalet or Boston Pizza, a Tim Horton’s and other smaller stores. Councillor Brian Ostrander feels they’re under the gun to make a decision at their next meeting but Mayor Chris Herrington says that’s not the case. Craft representatives say there will be no negative impact on stores in the downtown…but, resident John Rundle says there will be…and, some of the effects could be fatal.
