The real estate business remained a little slower this past August then it was at the same time last year in the Quinte area.
The Quinte and District Real Estate Board says the value of home sales declined by 10 percent from August, 2008, going from a total of 53,7 million dollars to 48 million.
Meanwhile, the number of residential new listings went down to 399 in August….from 457 last year.
However, on a positive note, the number of sales in August was almost the same as in 2008, at 286. And, average prices increased a little in most areas.
