Despite serious concerns from 23 doctors in Prince Edward County, All Terrain Vehicles will continue to be allowed on the roads in the County. A letter from the doctors outlined their concerns about serious injury and death caused by ATV accidents, and they asked that they be banned from roadways.
However, at County Council’s Committee of the Whole, councillors said serious injuries occurred on bicycles, motorcycles, and in various other ways. They agreed with a recent review of the ATV by-law, which saw no problems with ATV’s riding on roadways.
