A Bloomfield-area woman has won another exemption to having to give up six dogs and some poultry.
Justice Steven Hunter granted the right to appeal to Paula Deininger until mid-October in Picton Provincial Court, five weeks after she was given her first delay on the issue.
Deininger and her daughter, Ruth Butts, were ordered in July to find new homes within a week for six of their nine dogs and for all the chickens, ducks and geese at their home on Wilson Road.
They were convicted and fined 20-thousand dollars each at that time for operating a kennel without a licence, having unlicensed dogs and having livestock in a residential area.
