It was a very busy Labour Day long weekend for police in Belleville. A man required plastic surgery at KGH after he was hit in the face with a beer bottle at a North Front Street bar Sunday night. A 22-year old Colborne man is facing charges. and, a 26-year old Quinte Wets man was charged after a melee in which a man was hit in the back of the head with a folding knife outside a Bell Boulevard nightclub Saturday night.
Last night, four people ended up in the cells. A 34 year old Belleville man was charged following a domestic assault. Another man was charged with having blood-alchol over the legal limit. Another was charged with Break and Enter, Assault and Mischief in relation to an incident that occurred several days earlier at a College Street address. and, a teenage girl was arrested on Bridge St. East just after 1am and charged with public intoxication.
