The OPP are warning the drivers of all terrain vehicles in this region that they can expect to be talking to police, any day, any time. OPP are stepping up ATV patrols because of concerns that the number of people killed by ATV’s in Eastern Region is up by 200 percent over last year. 6 people have been killed, including ATV drivers from Madoc, Flinton, and Napanee. A woman from St Catharines was killed on an ATV in Prince Edward County back in July. OPP will be checking that drivers wear helmets, and they’ll be watching for speeding, and checking for proper documentation.
