Another step in the long process to build a new Quinte Consolidated Courthouse.
Infrastructure Ontario released a request for qualifications yesterday to design, build and finance the facility, to be located at Coleman and Bridge Streets in Belleville.
Three courts in Belleville and one in Trenton will move to the new courthouse, which will feature more courtrooms, better accessibility and security, and improved health and safety standards.
R-F-Q submissons will be reviewed to pre-qualify project teams with the design, construction and facilities management experience, and the successful bidders will be asked to respond to a request for proposals in early 20-10.
