Still no final decision by Quinte West Council on whether or not the public transit buses will continue running in Trenton. Last night, Council heard from Quinte Access, which is recommending the 2 bus service become a permanent fixture, as ridership is solid and growing. However, Council wants some more detailed information. Many on council alluded to the 2010 budget discussions coming up as being the toughest in Quinte West’s history, as revenues are expected to decline in several areas. Meanwhile, the buses will continue to roll until at least the end of next month.
