A record-breaking swim for a Belleville native will resume on Lake Michigan around suppertime.
Paula Stephanson’s bid to swim all five Great Lakes was delayed Friday when large waves halted her progress.
Paula’s brother, Tyler, says the team is monitoring the weather via Internet and plan to get back in the water when the waves subside, around six this evening.
The 30-year-old woman has conquered four of the five Great Lakes and is bidding to be the second person to cross all five.
The only other person to mark the achievement is Kingston swimmer, Vicky Keith.
