The company that’s possibly taking a 75-percent stake in Belleville’s new racetrack and slot parlour is backed by some big money. Plaza Gaming and Entertainment has signed a letter of intent to partner with Baymount Incorporated on the Bell Boulevard project. Plaza is a division of Larry Tanenbaum’s Kilmer-Group. Tanenbaum is the Chair of Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment. Baymount announced the partnership earlier this week saying revenues from the sale to Plaza would be used to complete construction of the stalled facility. The deal is expected to close in late September.
