The Ontario Municipal Board has finally set a date for a meeting in response to an appeal by the Toronto company planning a major retail development in Brighton.
Craft Development, which wants to build several stores on Elizabeth Street, filed the appeal with the O-M-B earlier this year, and a prehearing is set for September 28th at the municipal office.
It applied to change the site from residential to commercial, but the company says the municipality hasn’t made a decision within the proper timeframe.
Planning Director Ken Hurford says Craft didn’t file its traffic and services studies until late last year, and a public meeting, to update Brighton residents, will be held in mid-September.
