Doug Rollins says it’s “good news” that the casino project may be back on track, but like any good gambler the president of the Quinte Exhibition says he has an “ace in the hole.” Doug Rollins says he’s “confident” now that Baymount Incorporated’s long-delayed plans to build a harness racing facility and slot parlour on Belleville’s Bell Boulevard got a financial boost. Baymount has signed a financial deal with an international company. But Rollins says if this falls through he has other investors up his sleeve….two or three local ones who are interested in taking over the project. The Baymount deal is slated to close in late September.
