The union for Northumberland County’s paramedics denies they’re involved in any work action..
That allegation mas made by Northumberland C-A-O Bill Pyatt in a memo to county council members and ambulance workers late last week.
An ambulance from Cobourg had to respond to an incident in Brighton on August 12th because there weren’t enough paramedics available in Brighton due to staff calling in sick.
An official with the Ontario Public Service Employees Union says there is no work action by paramedics, and the union will deal with the employer to resolve the situation.
