A potentially dangerous situation averted in Belleville overnight. Officers picked up a man in his twenties, at 1 o’clock this morning, after he was spotted sitting in the middle of Dundas Street West. He was arrested for public intoxication.
and, at about 2:30 this morning, officers attended at a west end apartment in relation to a domestic disturbance. A woman was assaulted by her boyfriend who had already fled the scene. The incident is still under investigation.
and, Belleville firefighters responded to small fire in a closet at a home on Moira Street West, near Yeoman Street. No one was injuured and the blaze was quickly extinguished.
