Later this month, rally car drivers in the Quinte area will be contributing to the education of young Afghan children.
This year the Tweed Legion is hooking up with “Skills Generation,” a Canadian non-profit organization, for its second annual Car Rally. Event co-ordinator Wendy Vermeer says it’s in conjunction with the armed forces non-profit charity that builds schools, provides school equipment, and drinking water wells. The rally gets underway the morning of August 29 at Tweed Legion, and registration includes breakfast and dinner.
