Kudos to a Belleville Bull for his achievements at a hockey tournament in the Czech Republic.
Canada defeated Russia 9-2 in the gold medal game yesterday (SAT)…at the 2009 Under-18 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament in Breclav.
Bulls defenceman Stephen Silas recorded one assist and two penalty minutes in the four Canadian victories at the tournie.
Silas becomes the first Bull to win gold at the tournament since Bryan Cameron’s achievements in 2006.
Silas’ gold follows his victory in January with Team Ontario at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge
