A Belleville man who broke into a Peterborough home will spend another 40 days in jail.
Twenty-one-year-old Paul Nixson of Moira Street and two other men were arrested after cigarettes and a lighter were taken from a house on Monaghan Road on June 18th.
Nixson had served 55 days pre-sentence custody, but he angered Justice Rhys (rees) Morgan in Peterborough court yesterday when he said he had gone into the house only to get out of the cold, and the judge dismissed his request for immediate release.
Nixson was also put on probation for one year.
