The power outage in a large rural area surrounding Bancroft and Barry’s Bay is over..
Hydro One says the power to almost 56-hundred homes and cottages went out at 2-30 overnight, and the utility didn’t expect service to be restored until eight o’clock this morning..
However, crews had the electricity flowing again shortly after 6-30.
No information was available for the cause of the outage.
