A 26-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy have spent the night in police custody after being stopped in Belleville.
Police officers pulled over a vehicle on Dunbar Street for erratic driving, and three people jumped out and ran. Two were arrested at the scene, and a woman fled to a nearby house, where she refused to answer the door for police.
Officers found a small quantity of marijuana and a stolen licence plate in the vehicle.
The man and the boy, who appear for bail hearings today after being held at the police station, were charged with possession of marijuana and possession of stolen property, and similar charges are pending against their female accomplice.
