Some residents living in north-east Belleville had a restless sleep after reports of a man with a crowbar attempting to break into a home.
City police responded to the call around 12:45 this morning (SUN).
Police say when officers arrived on the scene, the culprit was scared off and a police search failed to find him.
The attempted break-in was reportedly stopped by the arrival of police officers.
